The Christmas Baby 2025 Movie Review

I think this film is overall pretty good, but it’s not what I’m looking for as far as entertainment and romance is concerned. Even if this was straight couples with an anonymous baby, I’d still have to pass, because it has little to no romance and low tension and no thrills.

It’s a film about two married lesbian women with two gay male best friends. Talk about opening the floodgates for controversy with most viewers. But that isn’t relevant for me, I’m looking for entertainment and romance.

There is also a lesbian co-worker at the gift wrapping shop (it’s obvious, although not explicit). So what we have here is a story that features two lesbians as the leads and two gay men as the supporting cast, another couple of random lesbians and gays, two straight grandmothers, a child services worker, a couple of straight friends, a grumpy old man for a neighbor, and a baby that was left to be found.

What’s not to like? Sure, if I’m a passionate woman, who is enthusiastic about this sort of theme, but I’m certainly not the right demographic for this film. But like I said, it’s not bad, it’s actually pretty good, even somewhat endearing and I was touched at the end. But overall, this is not entertaining enough for me.

You will always get an honest review from me. I call ’em how I see ’em and this is an excellent production, personal preferences notwithstanding.
