Netflix expands its global reality portfolio today with the premiere of Love Is Blind: Italy, bringing the established social experiment to a new cultural setting. Starting December 1, 2025, the series introduces 24 singles who seek marriage without ever seeing their potential partners.

Hosted by married couple Benedetta Parodi and Fabio Caressa (via Netflix), the show challenges participants to form deep emotional bonds exclusively through voice communication in isolated pods. The 10-episode season begins with the first four episodes now available for streaming; it tests whether emotional connections can survive physical reality.

We can expect a staggered release schedule designed to build anticipation for the final decisions at the altar. Following today’s debut, the platform will release episodes five through eight on December 8; episode nine drops on December 15. The season concludes with the reunion finale on December 19.

Produced by Banijay Italia and directed by Angelo Poli, this adaptation maintains the core structure created by Chris Coelen while integrating specific Italian cultural nuances regarding family and tradition.

Love Is Blind: Italy season 1 features 11 male participants who bring distinct professional backgrounds and life experiences to the pods. Ranging in age from 26 to 43, these men work in industries spanning engineering, hospitality, and fitness training.

Each contestant enters the experiment with the stated goal of finding a wife based solely on personality and shared values. Their journey involves navigating the pods before potentially proposing to a woman they have never seen.

Thirteen women join the experiment, and they represent a wide array of careers from genetics research to creative arts. Aged between 28 and 38, this group of modern professionals seeks to balance their established careers with the desire for a lasting marriage.

They must rely entirely on conversation to determine if a potential partner aligns with their future goals. The format requires them to be vulnerable quickly without the distraction of physical appearance.

Couples who successfully engage in the pods move forward to the physical phase of the experiment. This transition includes a couples’ retreat followed by a period of cohabitation in shared apartments.

Participants must then introduce their fiancés to their families and navigate real-world stressors before their wedding day. The final ceremony forces each individual to make a legally binding decision to marry or separate at the altar.
