Enola Holmes 3 2026 Movie Review

Story & Plot: The story is decent and entertaining, but it completely lacks the charm and excitement of the first two parts. It feels a bit watered down and scaled back compared to the previous installments.

Performances & Character Treatment: The lead actress (Millie Bobby Brown) delivers a good performance, keeping the film watchable. However, no other character truly shines. The biggest disappointment is the treatment of the heroine’s brother, Sherlock Holmes. Despite being the world’s greatest detective, his character is totally wasted. He is portrayed as a weak, helpless man who gets easily kidnapped and is completely ineffective throughout the movie. Even the returning old villain lacks a powerful impact and feels deeply underutilized.

Emotional Impact: The movie fails to build a strong emotional connection with the audience. The heroine is about to marry her husband-to-be (Tewkesbury), and even when his mother gets kidnapped, there is absolutely no emotional weight or bonding visible between them. The stakes feel incredibly low, and you don’t feel any genuine tension or pain for the characters.

The Main Problem: The overall execution lacks power and sharp twists. The mystery is oversimplified, and everything unfolds too predictably. With such a massive franchise, the writing, character dynamics, and handling of a legendary character like Sherlock could have been much better.

Verdict & Rewatch Value: It is a strictly one-time-watch, time-pass movie. It’s fun for a casual viewing, but there is nothing extraordinary about it that would make you want to watch it again.
